Effective on the Scene

A crew came to me explaining how they used the product both on the scene and in the ER. They were very happy with the results and the ER was impressed with how easily the Kwikpoints worked to get information in a hurry. Ironically, one of the fire fighters on scene was trying to dial a free interpreter line to figure out what was going on with this patient. The medics, with the Kwikpoint, figured out the complaint and necessary information before the interpreter could get on the phone.

Geared to the West

The translator is laminated pages that fold up to be compact. They stay clean since they are laminated. They don't tear easily since they are laminated. It has drawings that you point to indicate what you wish to say to someone.
It is good for someone who does not speak English traveling to an English language country.
It is pretty good if you are an English speaker traveling to a non-English language country.
There is a section for "Bite" and it contains: Rattlesnake, Cottonmouth and Copperhead. There are no other snakes listed. This means you can use it inside the US, but it doesn't have a cobra, viper or any snakes found in other nations. The booklet is geared to America. If I am in India again or Thailand and bitten by a Cobra or get venom shot into my eyes this will not help me as no Cobra is on the card. Australia has more venomous snakes than the US, but no Australian snakes are on the card. The bite section could be done better.
It is pretty good, but needs a little bit of work. It is better than nothing!
