Challenging, thought provoking... and an enjoyable read!

MANY books today cover the topic of responsible media consumption. But few do it with the insight and depth of Communicating for Life. Schultze takes the reader beyond consumption of media to look at what it truly means to live as a disciple of Jesus Christ in our technology rich world. Not only was I prodded to transform the ways I use media in my life, but I was encouraged to become a whole member of the human community. Schultze weaves these two concepts of community and media into a beautiful tapestry that can hint to us what true peace, true justice, and true community ought to look like. This is a must read for all who seek to live as authentic followers of Jesus.

Thought provoking

COMMUNICATING FOR LIFE: CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP IN COMMUNITY AND MEDIA provides a unique spin on stewardship. Schultz gives a thought provoking perspective on communication by utilizing a lens of God's creation of man and man's resultant reflection of God. He enlarges the understanding of communication theory beyond the basic communication models by enriching the process of communication with the aesthetic of the miracle of reaching the understanding of another human being. The book is excellent!

Extremely Profound Book

Dr. Quentin Schultze is an effective professor, great writer and genuinely nice person.

As a communication teacher and person of faith, I am always looking for others of like mind. I found this book very challenging and useful in the college courses I teach. I quote from it all the time, as each sentence is like a goldmine of truth.

I highly recommend this book for those interested in thinking, discovering more about God, and considering the very profound nature of communication. God is a communicator. So are we; its one of the ways we're created in His image.

Satisfying and emotional read

A well written tale of love and loss with a satisfying resolution, the characters in Alberta Clipper are finely drawn and Sheena Lambert's brilliant observation moves the story swiftly along. Lambert obviously has an indepth knowledge of the environment her characters inhabit, not least of the Alberta Clipper - but you'll have to read the book to discover what that is, and its significance! An impressive debut that bodes well for Lambert's writing career, highly recommended.

Believable story about love and loss and finding your soulmate

Christine Grogan has been living with terrible guilt. On January 20th of each year she spends the day grieving over this guilt. The rest of the year her life appears great. She is 28 years old, with a job as a meteorologist at an investment bank, has a loving family, and great friends. She just has to find a way to move on with her life.

Mark Harrington is in a relationship that is heading any where and has realized he has not had any control over it. Other than that he has everything else going for him. He is head of an international bank, handsome, and owns his own house. He just needs to get control of his love life, which he hopes includes Christine.
Alberta Clipper is a true romance story. Early on I knew Mark was in love with Christine, but Christine was clueless. Through a Christmas party, conferences, and a New Years Eve party Christine and Mark finally start some type of a relationship. But I was still hoping Christine would open up and share a part of her that very few know about. For their relationship to last, and I was hoping it would, they had to have honesty and trust.

It seemed every character in this book had their own short story to add to the main story. All these stories let me better understand the hows and whys of how each character was as they were. Everything from insider trading, Christine's past and office drama were covered making this so much more than just a love story.

Sheena Lambert wrote a believable story about love and loss and finding your soulmate. It is also a story of guilt, forgiveness, and betrayal. I highly recommend this novel to everyone.

Good everyday story

Not compelling, but a well-written story about the sort of everyday romance that many people have. No stalkers, serial murderers, vampires, werewolves, etc! Just a good story about realistic people and the kind of relationships that really happen.
